This is (yet another) Brazilian player who took the step an moved to Europe, in this case Austria:

I was at least able to find the clubs he played for in Brazil. But this summer might have not been the first time he set foot in Europe. According to several sources (Eufo.de, transfermarkt.at), last year he played in Germany, FC Oberneuland (Oberliga Nord). Transfermarkt gives the dates as July-Ausgust 2007. Was he just a trialist there or he played some official matches? Any help and information is appreciated!
Cheers!
Marcelo Régis de Souza

07-08 FC Oberneuland 7-2
Debut: 19.08.2007 at home against SV Lurup
Last game: away against TSV Eintracht Braunschweig II but game was cancelled because Marcelo and Francky Sembolo weren't allowed to play, replay was in April when Marcelo already left. Game doesn't count so he played 7 in stead of 8 games. Last game played at the end of September, after that he left.
