He didn't apparently appear in any professional match in England
His contract with Amiens was cancelled after only one Month "for contracting an Illness not connected to football" (Official FFFA Report 06.09.1934)
A problem player - was sent off twice in his first French season ... where he played mainly as defender - not very well accepted by his teammates
All my research in the UK to find him were unsuccesfull - he may have played in Scotland or Ireland as some of the Marseille's British cohort that joined the club in 1932?
Manager Charlie Bell, Fred Caiels (born in Belfast), Alex Sherry (former Preston Player), Sam Jennings and Tom Pritchard.
One possibility is that Sam Jennings, a Former Brighton & HA player brought him from the reserve or youth team ...
Two other British players who signed at Marseille are unknown...
WARKES, played only reserve in 1934-35
GALLOWAY, (probably it's Septimus the Centre Forward) signed on Trial for one 1 moth in June 1934

Son contrat avec Amiens en 1934-35 est résilié au bout d'un mois pour avoir "contracté une maladie sans rapports avec le football" (sic) (source: Les sports du Sud-Est 6/9/1934)
Un joueur à problèmes... à Marseille, il joue surtout arrière (seulement un match en attaque) et est très mal accepté par ses coéquipiers.
Il ne joue pas à Brighton & Hove Albions en pro...
