His recent transfer became something of a major issue - he had a $600k minimum fee release clause in his contract and an additional clause stating Pohang would help him move abroad. The Russian side met that valuation and the player assumed the club would let him move to Russia, but they claimed they'd already lived up to that part by sending him to Yokohama FC on loan. His agent agreed a deal with the Russian team and he was set to go there, but Seongnam Ilhwa offered $1.8m for the player so Pohang decided they would much rather accept that instead.

Oh wanted to go to Russia, and Pohang wanted to sell him to Seongnam... the issue had been dragging on for a while but no news has been made public in Korea of the outcome of the situation. He was left out of the South Korean squad for the East Asian Football Championships next week which was a little strange.

Still waiting for official confirmation of his move, be it loan or transfer.

Myong-Ho Choe still plays for Krylya Sovetov (at least he was in club in December 2007).
In 2007 - no league matches, 1 match in Russian cup and 29 matches for B-team
