Hello, I am searching for the date of birth and concrete nationality (Moldovan or Ukrainian?) of Vadim Sereda or Vadym Sereda. He played for Tilligul Tiraspol in 94/95 and 95/96, Locomotiva Basarabeasca in 97/98 and Polaban Nymburg (Czech team) in 88/89.

Tercetiempo.es suggests that his forename is Vladislav and not Vadim and his DOB is 20/12/73, but the majority of sources states Vadim as correct name, so I guess there is a confusion. Additionally the YOB 73 is not probable if he was already an active professional in 88/89.

If would be fantastic if someone could please help me.

There is information on Russian site,
but something about not converge, then that there were two players with the surname Sereda is a fact
Try through a translator

http://translate.google.com/?hl=en#ru|en|
View all the pages, look at them through the search surname - Sereda

http://tirasport.nm.ru/foot_M96-2.htm two players in different teams

write out a blank sheet of information collected on players season - the team - the player
Pay attention to the names or initials name. written three options.
Something certainly make a mess in the Russian pages in the 1994-1995 season

Tiligul (Tiraspol) season 1994 - 1995 season and 1995 - 1996
Likely to play the same player, but written with different names.

player has played in the game UEFA Cup 1994-95
11.08.1994 Tiligul Tiraspol Mol - Omonia (Nicosia) Cyp 0:1
came on to replace a player for 60 minutes
In the English references written as Vadim Sereda

Thank you for the source about Moldovan squads. In deed I am searching for the player yhou appeared in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup match you mentioned. It seems the English sources are wrong with the forename Vadim and it is Vladimir. So the remaining question is his nationality.

Reference Ionescu-Romeo
"The Complete Results and Line-Ups of the European Cup-Winners' Cup 1960-1999"
I have given the guys for the site, which is written on
Default.aspx?g=posts&t=7963
Wait, maybe after 1 or 2 year , to appear on the site.

About EuroCups produced guides in Russian http://12igrok.com/goods.php?id=1829
But there's a lot of mistakes, mostly grammar, you can not on the basis of written in Russian letters the names and surnames of players write correct English-language spelling of a player.

On the Internet, all that is in the public domain written on the page
http://www.sport365.ro/forum/sezoane-an ... esc-2.html
National player is not known.

As for games Vadim Sereda club Polaban Nymburg in 1988/89
http://www.polaban.cz/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=86

actually might have been football players when they are recruited into the army, in Europe there were Russian military camps and bases, the players were military service while playing football for the army club in these countries, as a rule these were clubs from lower divisions of football.
Not often, but it is mentioned that a small fraction of players playing in the German Demoktaticheskoy Republic
passing military service in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_of_S ... in_Germany

Was still Central Group of Forces
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Group_of_Forces

Reminder, that then Soviet Union existed only the best and most famous players have gone first to play in Europe.
All players who played in the Soviet Union (Moldova former USSR) in his last existence of the country (1984-1992) in the football tournament of all divisions are known. Player Vadim Sereda was not in the list of players. He has not played in the current championship.
Maybe it's some homonym and played in the cases that are written above.

Well, all that sounds sensible. Nevertheless there is the question of nationality. I found one
I hope in 2011 Romeo Ionescu will publish the two remaining volumes of his "European Cup Players Who's who" (letters M-Z). Maybe he knows some details.
