My friend and I have a discussion about Helmut Duckadam, the goalkeeper of Steaua in the 1986 EC I final.

What has happened with him ?

My friend says he has been killed short after the EC I final by the Ceacescu regime.
Following the stats he played until 1990 for Vagonul Arad.

I think he is still alive but I don't find any prove (neither does my friend).

There's an interview with him made last year:

So he certainly seems to be alive and well.

He had problems with the bloodcirculation in his arms. He has always denied Ceaucescu had something to do with his early retirement

If I'm not wrong I think he lost an arm.

He's fine and healthy! Got remarried last year or early this year and was a candidate for the PNG party in some city, probably Arad. He occasionaly appears on TV as an analyst.
