I found that Anders Palmér played for Vancouver Whitecaps probably in winter 1981-82. Could anyone confirm this, please?

There was a Charlie Palmer in mid-70s, I think. Nothing more.

It's possible he played indoor soccer for Vancouver Whitecaps. (NASL Indoor League) But that's a different sport, doesn't belong in the database. (bit like Futsal)
