according to transfermarkt.de (I know not a very relieable source) the German player of Eritrean origin Asmeron (Sammy) Habte (plays for CS Grevenmacher in 09/10) is (or was) member of the Eritrean national team. Is there anyone who knows more about it? Did he ever play for the team in any official match?

On this occasion transfermarkt.de is correct. He played for CS Grevenmacher in the first qualifying round of the new Europa Cup. He is also shown as part of their squad on their web-site. Have updated PH a little. Have beeen unable to date to establish whether he has ever played for Eritrea in a full international
