I have his stats till July 2007.

14 A/4 goals - debut National team : 7-3-2001

I do not know if he played for the National team after 2007

1. 7-3-2001 vs Brazil (1 goal)
2. 25-3-2001 vs Jamaica (2 goals)
3. 11-4-2001 vs Chile
4. 25-4-2001 vs Trinidad & Tobago
5. 25-05-2001 vs England
6. 1-6-2001 vs South Korea
7. 3-6-2001 vs France
8. 15-7-2001 vs Paraguay
9. 22-7-2001 vs Chile
10. 25-7-2001 vs Uruguay
11. 23-8-2001 vs Liberia (1 goal)
12. 5-9-2001 vs Trinidad & Tobago
13. 14-11-2001 vs Spain
14. 21-1-2002 vs Guatemala

Attention these are A matches. Mexico plays often non official matches who are not recognized by the FIFA.

did not play in Copa America vs Peru on 18/7/01 it's a error on RSSSF (file Copa America 2001).

18/07/2001, Cali (Col)
Copa América
Peru - Mexico 1-0
line-op : Mexico: Oswaldo Sánchez, Alberto Rodríguez, Manuel Vidrio, Ramón Heriberto Morales, Ramón Carlos Morales, Gerardo Torrado, Joaquín Reyes (Sigifredo Mercado 46'), Juan Rodríguez (Miguel Ángel Zepeda 46'), Jesús Arellano, Jared Borgetti, Cesáreo Victorino

+ 2 friendly games in 2008. I wrote that I do not have the line-ups in a book after July 2007 so I could not check if he played A matches after that period.

This is a confirmation.

Adiós Tano, qepd :(

Regarding his matches, he played two friendlies recently in 2008, 06/02/08 against the United States, and 26/03/2008 against Ghana.

Against Peru in 2001, he does appear in the lineup in the FMF website (replacing Victorino at 65'); for unknown reasons, this cap doesn't sum to the total which remains 16. In my opinion, 17 is correct.
Note that, under his personal stats, he is not even selected for that match, which is obviuosly impossible, as he was part of the squad.

According to Conmebol he also played:

Another source, a screenshot from newspaper "El Informador" (19/07/2001):

Not a big surprise if it was true, everybody knows that the "official" 100th international match of Cuahtémoc Blanco wasn't properly the 100th ...

Anyway, "Ramón Carlos Morales" is another mistake, he is just Ramón.

According the file Copa America (RSSSF), Calcio Mondiale and World Soccer they all have De Andris as a sub.

I'll contact the owner of the site.

Alessandro I rather believe you than Mexican websites. If the player in fact was a sub in the match vs Peru then it's another prove that the book of Mantz/Ionescu is just copywork. I'm sure that there was a website with all line-ups of the Mexican team. After the release of the book of the 2 guys the website disapeared. I do not have to say the reason why the site is gone.

Yeah I also remember that page, it was futbolmexicano.org, right?

Just another shot (no way of having a direct link) from femexfut.org.mx, Peru vs. Mexico 18/07/2001, he did play:

Sadly, that webpage has improved dramatically over the years but still contains a discrete amount of mistakes, and nobody cares, not even the federation itself. And obviously, every news source repeats the same (wrong) info.

If everybody agrees, I'm going to change his stats back to 17/4.
