There is a player Manuel Alejandro Neira Diaz who played for the National team. He was also member of the 1998 WC Squad. He played in 1997 + 1998 for Colo Colo.
I found also another player Héctor Manuel Neira with same dob (12/10/1977) and who played for Everton and Colo Colo.
At the first sight I can't find any Neira who played for Las Palmas in the First Division.
Are this twins or is this the same player. In case they are 2 different players the careers are probably mixed in the database.
Manuel Neira

I think there must be two Neira's and I agree that their stats apperar to be mixed in the PH entry you quote. I found a Hector Manuel Neira Diaz (DOB - 12.10.77 in Santiago) in Guia Marcia 2000 which shows Hector Neira's career as follows:
95/97 - Everton
97/99 - Colo Colo
98/99 - Las Palmas
2000 - Racing Avellandre
00/01 - Unv Catolica
01/02 - U Espanol
2001 - Las Palmas
He is shown as having played 7 internationals for Chile
95/97 - Everton
97/99 - Colo Colo
98/99 - Las Palmas
2000 - Racing Avellandre
00/01 - Unv Catolica
01/02 - U Espanol
2001 - Las Palmas
He is shown as having played 7 internationals for Chile

In my opinion, there's only one Manuel Neira, and Manuel Alejandro is the correct name. Various sources indicates Héctor as first name, but I think it is a mistake.
The one who played for Colo Colo in 1997 and 1998, the 1998 World Cup, Racing de Avellaneda Apertura 2000, Copa América 2001, Jaguares Chiapas Clausura 2004, and finally Unión Española 2005 is Manuel Alejandro, according to many reliable sources. And I see no trace indicating that Héctor Manuel can be a different person.
His career has probably two little mistakes, Las Palmas 01/02 (perhaps returned is Spain from a loan, and was sold again before playing any league match) and São Paulo 1996 (he is not in the list of São Paulo players on RSSSF Brazil).

Thanks guys.
Alessandro; maybe you can correct in the database about the "strange stats" in Las Palmas and Everton (1998 and 1997). He did not play there these seasons and he never played for Las Palmas in the first division.
Regards.
