It's difficult to say, if Pashayev is the right one. In Ionescus book about Cupwinners Cup I also found Peter Czvitkovics (DOB: 10.02.1983) playing for MTK Budapest in the qualifying round 98. Both players were only 15 years old, when the matches were held. This sounds a bit strange to me.
About Sasa Pavic: I found out that he played for Radnicki Belgrad from 1993-1995. So it seems to be obvious that he is from Serbia/Montenegro (I also suspected this because of the name).
Addition: This source here declares that former Grevenmacher Keeper Oliver Köpkes nationality is Luxembourg, but his previous club is VfL Trier and his name sounds very German.

Am I right that he is indeed German and not Luxembourg?

I found some information that is very contradictory, perhaps someone can help to clear up:
In the 66th minute of the match Apollon Limassol - FK Ekranas (Cup Winner's Cup - Qualifying round 27.08.1998) the player Florin Carstea left the game, but I found different statements who entered the game instead:
on this site: http://almis.w3.lt/ekranas/ekr99games.html I found Michalis Christofi; while Romeo Ionescu's book sais, it was a player called Hrysostomos Juras (Chrysostomos Giouras) who also played two more matches in Cupwinners Cup 98/99. I tried to find out anything about this Juras but did not find anything. Instead there was a defender called Chrysostomos Christofi playing for Apollon (DOB: 12/10/71). So I supposed that the first name in the Lithuanian source might be wrong and the player in fact has a double name "Chrysostomos Giouras Christofi". Can somebody confirm this or clear up who is the right player who appeared in the match against Ekranas (it is probable that the same player was also in the starting-lineup against SK Jablonec on 17.09.1998 and 01.10.1998)
