Hello,
does anyone know what happened to Dejan Raickovic (http://www.playerhistory.com/Default.aspx?page=player_details&playerID=15726) between 1986/87 and 1988/89?
From a trivia text about Savicevic I researched - "Dejan Savicevic joined FK Crvena Zvezda Beograd in the summer of 1988 but due his mandatory service in the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) he could play league matches not until the 1989/90 season. In the European cup matches of the 1988/89 season (3 matches, 1 goal) the state authorities allowed him to play." - I know that its wasn't unlikely that a player was one seaon without a match because of his army service. But three years without a match is a little bit suspicious.
Thanks for your help.
Kind regards, Matthias
Dejan Raickovic

Thanks a lot. Then maybe the 1986/87 season was his year at the JNA.
