How many times happened that fathers and sons played together in a national team match?
I can clearly remember that happened time ago in a Nordic European country, maybe Foroyar or Iceland...
Fathers & Sons in the same NT match

I believe the Gudjohnsen family is the only one to achieve such a feat, at least in Europe.
More numerous should be the examples when the father was manager of the national team and the son played in it, for example Cesare and Paolo Maldini in the 1990s.

Tallinn, 24/04/1996, friendly, 500 people.
Estonia - Iceland 0-3 (0-3)
6', 20', 30' Bjarki Gunnlaugsson (6, 20, 30).
Birkir Kristinsson (Kristján Finnbogason 69), Lárus Orri Sigurðsson, Ólafur Adolfsson, Guðni Bergsson [c] (Sigursteinn Gíslason 77), Rúnar Kristinsson, Ólafur Þórðarson, Eyjólfur Sverrisson, Sigurður Jónsson (Hlynur Stefánsson 77), Arnar Grétarsson, Bjarki Gunnlaugsson (Þórður Guðjónsson 46), Arnór Guðjohnsen (Eiður Smári Guðjohnsen 62). Logi Ólafsson.
Other cases? Is it so rare?

From wikipedia:
Arnór and Eidur are the only father and son to play for their country during the same game. Arnór was 34 and Eidur was just 17 when it happened.
[...]
At 25 he [Arnór] had been asked his biggest wish, to which he replied "to play international football alongside Eiður". However, shortly before a match in Reykjavik in which father and son were finally scheduled to appear alongside one another, young Eiður broke his ankle in an Under-18 tournament. He duly missed the next two seasons, in which time Arnór hung up his boots and bought a fishing rod.
[...]
[Arnór] Guðjohnsen played 73 games for the Icelandic national team and scored 14 goals, four of them in a game against Turkey. He played his last international in October 1997 against Liechtenstein.
If all this is true, they are the only father-son to achieve this "record". And it wasn't Arnor last match.
edit: checked with Icelandic records. Eidur and Arnor match was the #250, Arnor's last was the #266.
