Hello,

does anyone knows a little bit more about Matthias Zimmerling's time in Austria (http://playerhistory.com/Default.aspx?page=player_details&playerID=24823#pcd0)? For example his second level apps & goals for SK Austria Klagenfurt in 1998/99.

Has anyone apps & goals for Steffen Ziffert during his spell in Switzerland (http://playerhistory.com/Default.aspx?page=player_details&playerID=24822)?

Thanks in advance for taking a look at this topic, Matthias

Zimmerling: 1998/99 Austria/VSV 13/1

Ziffert: 1993/94 FC Schaffhausen 0/0

both as per the respective DFS databases.

Ziffert was a regular first team player in 1993-94 for Schaffhausen The DFS database hasn't got any stats for this season at this level

Thanks for your help. I added the Zimmerling stats for 1998/99 in the database. What does this VSV behind Austria means exactly? The name in this season was SK Austria Klagenfurt, wasn't it?

VSV is Villacher SV, the club with which Austria Klagenfurt merged in 1997. The new club carried both names for two years until it was renamed simply FC Kärnten.
For now it is safe to have Zimmerling's career under Austria Klagenfurt for 98/99. I am still to resolve all the naming/merging/rebirth issues in Austria which have been so common in the past 20 or so years.

Thanks for the info.
I'm doing the same for East Germany (http://playerhistory.com/Default.aspx?page=clubs_countryclubslist&nationID=402). And there were many name changes in this 40 years. ;-)

I can't find in Austria in the 2004/05 and the 2005/06 season the club you've mentioned. Which level they played in this seasons? Do you mean Klagenfurter AC because EC KAC is an Ice Hockey club? Wölfnitz isn't existing as a club at all at the moment.

Yes, KAC is Klagenfurter AC. I will add Wölfnitz later today along with the relevant career.
