I know that Transfermarkt.de (http://transfermarkt.de/de/spieler/8/hristov-marian/transferdaten.html) and Wikipedia (http://bg.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9C%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F%D0%BD_%D0%A5%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%81%D1%82%D0%BE%D0%B2 aren't very reliable sources and conflict here (FBK Balkan from Sweden vs. Balkan Botevgrad) but maybe they can give a tip that Marian Hristov (http://playerhistory.com/Default.aspx?page=player_details&playerID=4517) played still some (league) football after his contract in Wolfsburg wasn't renewed in the summer of 2007.

Definitely not the Swedish Balkan
Botevgrad is his birthplace so he went to finish his career there. I am not sure about 07/08, but according to this Bulgarian website, he has been with Balkan Botevgrad since 2008:

It's sad that the links from Balkan Botevgrad's site at the Bulgarish wikipedia (http://bg.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A4%D0%9A_%D0%91%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%BA%D0%B0%D0%BD_(%D0%91%D0%BE%D1%82%D0%B5%D0%B2%D0%B3%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%B4)) don't lead to a (club-owned) more substantial web-site.
