I've read that Andre Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt's cousin [...] was living in Paris at the time of the 1900 Games and he won a gold medal playing soccer for a French club team.

Does anybody know anything more?
Thank you!!

Yes, it's him. He was a multi-sport athlete playing football, rugby and water polo among the others...

Does anybody know for which French football club did he play?

Can't find him playing football for any club, but that doesn't mean he didn't play football (I'm not sure many American Journalists would know the difference between rugby and football) Did you find this picture?

p.s. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Albert Roosevelt was Andre Roosevelt.

Yeah, the first thing I thought was that they mixed up football and rugby (or they simply didn't care...).
However, it must have played for a Paris club, maybe the football section of his rugby club Racing.

Thank you, I didn't find that picture... really really interesting. Yes, I wouldn't be surprised, too.... I thought the same.
However, let's see if some of our French researchers can help. Not an easy issue.

Thank you really much again!
