Is there someone who has more information about Ivo Rudic, born 24.01.1942. He was a member of the autralian world-cup squad in 1974.

He signed for Pan Hellenic in Sydney in January 1974. Although he was a member of their 1974 WC squad he did not play a match in the finals. In fact I can find no trace of him ever having played an international for Australia. This fact seems to be confirmed in the following extract from an Australian web-site.
"1974 – Ivo Rudic (Australia)
Defender Rudic precedes the Mariners’ Beauchamp as the only Australian player to have worn the number 16 at a FIFA World Cup. Rudic donned number 16 for the Socceroos’ 1974 edition that suffered two losses and a scoreless draw before being eliminated from the tournament in West Germany. Interestingly, although Rudic was one of an exclusive squad of 21 players taken to West Germany by then Socceroos coach Rale Rasic, the Sydney-based man marker never made an international appearance for Australia. Rudic faced stiff opposition from Socceroo legends Peter Wilson, Harry Williams, Manfred Schaefer and Col Curran for a spot in the Australian backline and was thus only able to contribute to Australia’s inaugural FIFA World Cup campaign from the sidelines".

And does anybody have any idea for which teams he played during his career? Pan Hellenic is the only club as far as I know. There must be someone who knows more about this guy.

Am not sure where he was before or after. Apparently he was born in Yugoslavia

Thanks, I added this to the database. Did he score no goals?. This is great stuff. Do you have detailed stats from the 1981 and or 1982 seasons by any chance? We are working on a '1981-82 project' at the moment.
