I was adding matchfacts for Racing de Santander matches when i noticed that a player called "Salazar" was added http://www.playerhistory.com/Default.as ... rID=103733

This player is José Luis Zalazar, and was added a long long time ago with complete stats in Spain http://www.playerhistory.com/Default.as ... erID=24817

So please Pluim, check before adding a player and delete that "Salazar" that sounds to me like a joke.

Also noticed that in db exists a player called "Fernando Correra" who really is Fernando Correa.

I deleted this Fernando Correra.

Going by Salazar's ID number, I think he might have been added recently for a World Cup squad. I have some sympathy here because I added a load of players for World Cup 1990 then noticed later some of them were already in the db under a slightly different name.

The thing which asks you to check for duplicate players when you add doesn't seem to be working as well as it might. I think Jeroen posted a topic about this in the 'Report technical errors' section the other day.

I agree with your point that we all need to be extra-careful.
